## About FleetPulse FleetPulse™ is the leading trailer telematics company, delivering end-to-end visibility into trailer safety and cargo security. We provide OEM-agnostic wired and aftermarket telematics solutions, including OEM-installed sensors, easy-to-install aftermarket sensors, and cargo cameras. Data from trailer sensors and components powers real-time, proprietary strategic insights through a digital dashboard—helping customers increase utilization, enhance safety, and reduce maintenance costs. This role is based in **Chicago, IL** and requires **on-site work**. **Relocation assistance is not provided.** --- ## What you’ll do - Build and own **full stack web applications**, taking projects **end to end** - Design and improve **APIs**, with a focus on **observability** and **platform building** - Deliver work that has an **outsized impact** on the business and customers - Raise technical standards through **code/design reviews** and **mentoring** - Partner with **product stakeholders** to refine requirements, align the team, and move projects forward - Work with **distributed systems**, emphasizing **instrumentation, monitoring, and visibility** --- ## What we’re looking for - **5+ years** as a professional software developer - Experience with **Kotlin, Java, Python**, or another backend language - Experience with **AWS, GCP**, or another major cloud provider - Familiarity with **relational databases** and **schema design** - Strong commitment to **code quality** and engineering best practices - Ability to judge when something is **“good enough”** vs. when to invest extra time to polish - Collaborative mindset and comfort working with others - **Chicago, IL based** --- ## Benefits - **Unlimited PTO** - **Company 6% 401(k) match** - Choice of **three healthcare plans** - **Dental & Vision** - Company-provided **STD, LTD, and Life Insurance** - **12 paid company holidays** - **Full paid parental leave** **Compensation range:** **$140,000 – $175,000 annually** --- ## Work environment - Ability to **travel to and attend the office in person** as required - Noise level is typically **minimal to moderate** --- ## Apply Does this sound like you? **Please apply**—we’d love to connect.
