## Professional Services Engineer **Farsight AI | New York, NY** *(4 days in office/week)* ### About Farsight AI Farsight is the agentic AI platform for financial services, helping investment banks and private equity firms automate highly nuanced workflows—so teams spend less time gathering information and drafting materials by hand, and more time on what matters. ### The Role Farsight’s customers are highly security-conscious. Many require deployments inside their own cloud environment or on-premise, with unique requirements for **networking, identity, compliance, and change control**. As a **Professional Services Engineer**, you’ll be the technical expert who scopes, architects, and delivers customer deployments across: - **Farsight-hosted VPC** - **Customer cloud** - **On-premise** Think of this as the customer-facing side of cloud infrastructure engineering—translating the platform into something a bank/PE firm’s IT team can approve, deploy, and trust. ### What You’ll Do - Lead technical delivery of customer deployments (kickoff → production go-live) across VPC, customer cloud, and on-premise. - Partner with customer IT/security/infrastructure teams to review architecture, network topology, identity/access needs, and data flows—driving technical approvals to closure. - Support pre-sales scoping: dataflow diagrams, architecture documentation, and security/compliance questionnaire responses. - Coordinate with Strategy/Ops and GTM to confirm technical feasibility before commitments; communicate constraints clearly. - Build and maintain deployment automation using **infrastructure-as-code** (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) for repeatable, auditable, secure deployments. - Create and maintain runbooks, reference architectures, and onboarding playbooks; run knowledge transfer sessions. - Troubleshoot deployment/integration issues in customer environments with Infrastructure/Platform Engineering; feed fixes back into the product. - Act as the technical voice of the customer internally—surfacing recurring friction and requirements to inform roadmap. - Support escalations and post-deployment health: monitoring, upgrades, and change control coordination. ### Who You Are - **5+ years** in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, solutions architecture, or professional services/consulting with strong customer-facing experience. - Deep knowledge of **AWS** (ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, RDS, IAM, SSM, VPC networking) and experience deploying production workloads. - Strong proficiency with **IaC** (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience deploying into enterprise/regulated environments, including security reviews, network restrictions, and formal change control. - Solid understanding of cloud security/compliance frameworks (**SOC2, GDPR, ISO**) and ability to communicate credibly with security/compliance teams. - Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Comfortable operating independently across multiple engagements; able to figure things out without an existing playbook. - Able to write clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks. - **NYC-based**, able to work onsite; willingness to travel to customer sites as needed. ### Above and Beyond - Prior professional services/solutions architecture/forward-deployed experience at a cloud provider or enterprise software company. - E
