About this role
## AI Enablement Lead — Firecrawl ### About the role Firecrawl is looking for an **AI Enablement Lead** to own how we use AI internally—turning our output into something that scales with **tokens and adoption**, not headcount. You’ll set up and maintain the **agent harnesses, configs, and model routing** that every team uses, starting with revenue. You’ll work from **token spend data** to identify where we’re burning compute without output—and where teams aren’t using agents enough. Most of the work is **people**, not just configuration. You’ll need strong **EQ**: spotting what’s stuck, meeting people where they are, and staying with them until it sticks. You’ll also stay hands-on—living in the tools, writing code when the harness falls short, and teaching by showing. **Measured by:** who’s using agents well now who wasn’t before. --- ### What you’ll do - **Own the internal AI stack:** agent harnesses, configs, shared skills, and model routing across teams; keep it sharp and ship improvements as tools evolve. - **Start with the revenue team:** learn how they work, identify the jobs agents should do, and get them running. - **Drive adoption:** bring in people who barely use agents—build their first real workflow, handle skepticism, and stick with it until it becomes habit. - **Use token spend data:** find teams burning tokens without output and teams not using enough; fix both. - **Manage cost per useful token:** influence model choice, routing, caching, and remove workflows that don’t pay for themselves. - **Explain the “why” repeatedly:** help every team understand what scaling with tokens means—in their language. - **Build what’s missing in code:** MCP servers, hooks, evals, and internal tooling; keep up with changes across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and beyond. --- ### What we’re looking for - You understand why **scaling with tokens** matters—and can explain it to a salesperson, lawyer, and engineer. - You’ve **rolled out coding agents / AI tooling across a team** and can show what changed after (adoption, not a pilot). - **EQ:** you can tell resistance vs. fear, and you know “I don’t have time” is often the second one. - You’re an engineer or highly technical operator who lives in **Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex** and can build when the harness is missing something. - You think in **cost per useful token** and have used spend data to drive changes. - You teach by showing—pairing for an hour beats writing a guide nobody reads. - Bias to action, all-in mindset, and you already operate like this is how work gets done. - Bonus: ex-founder / early startup engineer / someone who led a tooling change nobody wanted and made it stick. --- ### What we’re not looking for - **Prompt-tips influencers** (a following built on “10 prompts that will change your life” isn’t a track record). - **Change-management consultants** (you should be able to drive adoption without frameworks, steering committees, or decks). - **IT admins** (this isn’t seat provisioning or license management; the hard part is people). --- ### Location & job details - **Location:** San Francisco, CA (SF HQ) - **Work style:** Hybrid — **onsite 3+ days/week** - **Job type:** Full-Time - **Experience:** 4+ years - **Work authorization:** Open to candidates already authorized to work in the US. - Supports: **H-1B transfers, F-1 OPT & STEM OPT, TN (Canada/Mexico), E-3 (Australia)** - **Not able to sponsor new H-1B visas** for candidates outside the US. --- ### Com
