## Forward Deployed Software Engineer (New England Area) **Location:** Providence, RI | Boston, MA | Bridgeport, CT *(supporting the New England area)* ### Overview The Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) is a hands-on problem solver deployed to customer sites to tackle their most demanding challenges. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their operations, develop tailored software solutions that integrate with **ION**, and ensure high customer satisfaction. If you’re excited to support **eVTOLs, rockets, robots, and autonomous vehicles**—this role is for you. ### Responsibilities - Serve as a deployed technical expert: hands-on support for implementation, usage, and further development of **ION** - Collaborate with customers to understand pressing problems and develop coherent strategies (e.g., custom web apps, large-scale data work) - Own the development and delivery of solutions while maintaining strong customer satisfaction - Write clean, scalable, maintainable code across the stack - Work in small teams with end-to-end ownership of high-stakes projects - Partner with the First Resonance team to continuously improve the product based on customer feedback ### Minimum Qualifications & Skills - Strong engineering background (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders - Experience shipping production-quality code - Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical individuals in dynamic environments - Willingness to travel up to **40%** to customer sites ### Desired Qualifications - Experience in manufacturing (e.g., Product Manager or Lead Engineer) - Experience with **Python** and/or **React (TypeScript)** - Experience (or curiosity) working with large-scale data to solve customer-facing problems - Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with an entrepreneurial mindset ### Benefits & Perks - Health Insurance (medical, vision, dental, life) - Paid Parental Leave - Employee Stock Option Plan - Team outings, group lunches, open office, happy hours - Paid holidays, sick days - Flexible Friday and PTO - 401K ### Equal Opportunity First Resonance is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
