**Senior Software Engineer** We’re looking for a **full-time Senior Software Engineer** to join our mission of bringing the **ION Factory OS** to next-generation hardware builders worldwide. You’ll join the **First Resonance** team in **Los Angeles, CA** (HQ in **El Segundo**) as a foundational member of our product team. --- ## Why this role? We move fast, learn quickly, and execute with agility—using **AI-assisted development** to deliver end-to-end features with speed and quality. --- ## Responsibilities & Duties - **End-to-End Feature Ownership:** Build and deploy full-stack features using **AI-augmented workflows (Claude)** with **Python (Backend)** and **Next.js/TypeScript (Frontend)**. - **API & Data Architecture:** Develop high-performance **GraphQL** queries/mutations; design **Postgres** relational models for complex industrial processes. - **Cloud Infrastructure:** Build and maintain scalable services on **AWS** using modern infrastructure patterns. - **AI-Driven Productivity:** Lead adoption of AI tools to automate boilerplate, refactor legacy logic, and accelerate **idea-to-production**. - **Technical Leadership:** Write **design specs** and diagrams (**UML/System Flow**) to guide teammates and AI agents. - **Reliability:** Drive modular, testable architecture and comprehensive testing using **Pytest** and **Jest**. --- ## Qualifications & Skills - **6+ years** building and scaling production-grade software. - **AI-Native Workflow:** Pro-AI mindset; actively use coding assistants to improve output and code quality. - **Backend Mastery:** Expert **Python**, strong ORM experience (e.g., **SQLAlchemy**), and asynchronous processing. - **Modern Frontend:** **TypeScript, React, Next.js**. - **Cloud & Infra:** Hands-on **AWS** experience; deploying multi-tenant SaaS. - **API Design:** Strong **GraphQL** experience; familiarity with **DDD** and/or **event-driven** architectures. - **Problem Solver:** Enjoys cross-department collaboration and solving hardware-world problems with software. --- ## Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have) - **Infrastructure as Code:** **Terraform** and/or **CDK**. - Experience building manufacturing tools or working in high-stakes industrial environments. - Experience writing complex **ETL** processes for industrial data. --- ## Benefits & Perks - **Health & Wellness:** Medical, vision, dental, and life insurance. - **Ownership:** Employee Stock Option Plan and **401K**. - **Flexibility:** Unlimited PTO and **hybrid** work schedule. - **Culture:** Paid parental leave, team outings, group lunches, and an open office in **El Segundo**.
