## Senior Software Engineer ### What you’ll do - Own the monetization surfaces end-to-end: **pricing**, **plans**, **upgrade flows**, and the **self-serve → sales handoff** - Instrument the revenue funnel, run **pricing/packaging experiments**, and ship changes that improve **paid conversion** and **expansion** - Treat **paid conversion** and **net revenue retention (NRR)** as your #1 metric—**measure it, own it, and move it** ### What we’re looking for - You’ve **personally owned a revenue metric** (paid conversion, upgrade rate, expansion, or NRR) and **moved it** - Strong **full-stack engineering** background with **growth/PLG** experience and metrics you owned - You’ve personally owned **conversion/activation/funnel metrics** and improved outcomes - You think like a scientist: **hypothesis → experiment → measure → iterate**, including real **A/B tests** and what you learned - Experience with **developer-facing products** (SDKs, playgrounds, docs, APIs) and how developers adopt tools - Track record of **staying with your work long enough** to see it through (real tenure) - Bonus: shipped in-product growth for dev-tools/SaaS (onboarding, activation, upgrade flows, in-product guidance) or conversion pages that moved signup - Bonus: experience with **Next.js, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, Vercel, PostgreSQL, Anthropic Claude API** and/or building with LLMs in production (prompting, tool use, inference pipelines) ### What we’re not looking for - A **growth marketer** (this is an engineering role that writes production code) - A backend-only engineer with no interest in product surfaces/metrics - Someone who ships features without owning outcomes - A pattern of **short stints** ### Role details - **Salary Range:** $235,000–$260,000 USD/year - **Equity:** Competitive - **Location:** San Francisco, CA (SF HQ) — **on-site, five days a week** - **Job Type:** Full-Time - **Experience:** 5+ years as a full-stack engineer - **Work Authorization:** Open to candidates already authorized to work in the US (supports H-1B transfers, F-1 OPT/STEM OPT, TN, E-3). **Not able to sponsor new H-1B visas for candidates outside the US.** ### About Firecrawl Firecrawl turns the web into data AI agents can use.
