We’re proud to be recognized as a **Best Place to Work** and a **100 Best Remote-First Place to Work**. ## Role: Senior Fullstack Engineer (BE-leaning) TeamSnap is seeking a **Senior Fullstack Engineer (Backend-leaning)** to help us continue our growth from **2+ million daily active users** to beyond. ### What You’ll Do - Develop engaging experiences for millions of users across **mobile and web** applications. - Design and implement scalable apps and services, integrating into an evolving unified product and system architecture. - Collaborate with Product and UX to brainstorm and evaluate new features. - Pair and collaborate with other developers to build solutions and share technical knowledge. - Contribute to development standards to ensure **code quality**, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement. - Champion automated testing practices to uphold backend reliability and stability. - Own reliability of the team’s services and actively participate in **on-call** and incident management. - Evaluate and test new technologies to help TeamSnap move faster and serve users more effectively. - Help teammates overcome obstacles, resolve blockers, and complete work. ### What You’ll Work With - **Node.js**, **TypeScript**, **React.js**, **SQL** - Service-oriented, event-driven architecture ## What Will Set You Up for Success - **5+ years** of relevant experience, including leading large projects on high-scale, distributed systems. - Strong full-stack development experience with **Node** and at least one of: **Python, Golang, Ruby, JavaScript**, using **React** or similar. - Hands-on experience with **SQL** and relational databases (e.g., **MySQL / GCP Cloud SQL**), including migrations, profiling, and optimization. - Experience building **APIs and services** for web and mobile clients at scale. - Proven delivery of complex projects, including debugging issues spanning multiple systems. - Experience architecting **APIs, event streams, webhooks**, etc. - Experience working within and toward distributed systems. - **Bonus:** Built services for livestreaming, advertising, or subscriptions. ## Location - **Fully remote**. - Must be comfortable working across time zones. - Hiring is limited to **permanent US residents**. - States not hired in include: **Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, Utah**. ## Compensation - Minimum starting point: **$150,000** (base + bonus), with compensation updated based on multiple factors. ## Total Rewards - Unlimited PTO + paid parental leave for **ALL** parents - 100% premium coverage for medical/dental/vision for you and your family - 401K - **$1,500** annual learning & development stipend - Travel to fun locations for all-company meetings and team events - Generous home office allowance - TeamSnap SWAG + **$50** credit on every work anniversary - Monthly stipend reimbursement for health & wellness ## Culture & Inclusion At TeamSnap, you’re not just a culture fit—you’re a **culture add**.
