The company supports essential government agencies and every branch of the U.S. armed forces. --- **Responsibilities** Peraton is seeking a **Cloud DevOps Engineer (Senior Advisor)** with proven success in **AWS Cloud information system environments**. You will: - Leverage **AWS DevOps** and cloud tools to **automate, provision, and monitor CI/CD** processes - Provide hands-on support for **mission-critical deployments** - Implement **security** for cloud **authentication, authorization, auditing, and monitoring** - Implement **data security** over client infrastructure and environments - Participate in **after-hours on-call rotation** via **PagerDuty** - Support shift coverage as needed **Travel:** None required. --- **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** - Minimum experience: - **12+ years** with **BS/BA** - **10+ years** with **MS/MA** - **7+ years** with **PhD** - **U.S. citizen** - Must have an **active public trust clearance** - **AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate** (or other AWS Associate-level certification) - Knowledge of AWS services and features including: - **EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, EBS, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, EFS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EKS, ECS** - **Jenkins CI/CD** experience (build/deploy/maintain; configure nodes for load distribution and parallel builds) - **Ansible** configuration management (create/maintain playbooks, post-deployment playbooks, implementations, alerting, and hardening) - **Infrastructure as Code** using **Terraform** and **CloudFormation** - Terraform concepts: variables, data sources, state, workspaces, provisioners, null resources, modules, debugging, etc. - CloudFormation concepts: change sets, intrinsic functions, multi-resources, mappings, pseudo parameters, outputs, and init - Experience with **cloud security** design (e.g., **VPC, network security, VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, MFA**) - Experience with **AWS CloudWatch monitoring** (alarms; analyzing EC2 and load balancer logs) - Familiarity with scripting languages for automation on **Linux** (e.g., **Bash**) - Ability to obtain/maintain **Public Trust clearance** with a **Medium Background Investigation** **Desired Qualifications** - Ability to work with limited supervision and deliver results within timelines - Ability to produce documentation - Ability to clearly articulate engineering solutions - Ability to ramp quickly and add value to the team - Agile team experience - **Atlassian Jira** experience --- **Target Salary Range** **$112,000 – $179,000** Salary is determined by factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business/contract considerations.
