CoLab helps manufacturers make better decisions, eliminate rework cycles, and get to market faster. ## About the Role We’re hiring a **Software Forward Deployed Engineer** to embed within our strategic customers and deliver high-impact, technically complex projects. You’ll own delivery of key customer initiatives—scoping, building, deploying complex integrations, product features, and AI product features that connect customer systems to CoLab, accelerate adoption, and increase customer ROI. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, external team dynamics, and timeline pressure. If you enjoy working directly with customers and shipping code to solve real, complex problems with autonomy, you’ll thrive here. ## What You’ll Do - Own delivery of strategic customer projects, from technical discovery through production deployment and success measures - Build and deploy complex system integrations, backend services, and data pipelines - Interface with enterprise systems (e.g., data lakes, identity management/access controls, PLM, ERP) - Stand up CoLab integrations and organize incoming data to enable features like **AutoReview** and **Operator** - Collaborate directly with customers to understand needs, propose solutions, and guide adoption - Develop targeted solutions that meet customer requirements while considering the broader customer base - Bring learnings from customer requirements back to the development team ## Our Ideal Candidate - Based in **Cincinnati** and comfortable working on-site with customers - Delivered complex technical solutions where requirements weren’t clearly defined - Writes clean, production-grade code and is language-agnostic - Comfortable working in unfamiliar environments (technical and organizational) - Experience with enterprise systems (data lakes, IdP, PLM, ERP, etc.) - Can break down ambiguity, sequence work, and adjust scope without losing momentum - Confident leading deeply technical conversations with customer engineering/IT teams - Focused on delivering outcomes (not just writing code) - Has a “go figure it out” mindset and adapts when things shift ## Bonus Experience - Experience embedding within customer environments as part of enterprise SaaS deployments - Experience building/integrating AI-powered features - Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering data, processes, or systems - Experience with API-first products or developer platforms ## Extra Details - Full-time, permanent role with competitive compensation (base salary and stock options) - Extended health benefits, unlimited vacation, and 401k matching - **On-site role in Cincinnati, Ohio** ## Equity Note We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification—your potential matters most to us.
