**Forward Deployed Engineer** ## Overview Be the bridge between F2’s platform and the real-world complexity of our most important enterprise clients. You’ll embed with strategic Private Credit customers, dive deep into their data, workflows, and infrastructure, and build custom solutions that help make F2 indispensable to how they operate. This is a hands-on engineering role: you write production code, ship it, and see your work create value in days—not quarters. You’ll spend most of your time in the field with customers, then bring what you learn back to core engineering and product to improve the platform for everyone. ## What you’ll do - **Embed with strategic accounts:** Sit with top enterprise clients to understand their domain, data sources, security requirements, and analyst workflows—then translate them into technical solutions. - **Build custom integrations and solutions:** Write production code on top of F2’s platform (connectors to data rooms/document management systems, ingestion pipelines, workflow automations, and domain-specific features). - **Own the technical relationship:** Act as a trusted technical partner from initial deployment and configuration through production rollout and optimization. - **Prototype, validate, ship:** Build prototypes quickly, iterate with real feedback, and get into production via CI/CD while meeting engineering standards. - **Generalize learnings back into the platform:** Turn one-off customer solutions into reusable abstractions and scalable platform capabilities. - **Be the voice of the customer:** Bring field insights to the roadmap and champion features/integrations that solve real enterprise problems. - **Work alongside core engineering:** Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions as a full member of the engineering org. ## What you bring - **Hands-on full-stack or backend engineering:** 3+ years shipping production software (ideally **Python and/or TypeScript**). Comfortable owning a feature end-to-end across unfamiliar codebases. - **Customer-facing instincts:** Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; enjoy translating ambiguous requirements into working software. - **Pragmatic and fast execution:** Prototype, validate, and ship in days/weeks—not months. - **Cloud & infra fundamentals:** Familiarity with **AWS**, containers, **CI/CD**, and **Postgres/SQL**. Experience with **Temporal**, **Redis**, and **LLM tooling** is a plus. - **Integration mindset:** Experience building connectors, APIs, or ETL/data pipelines against messy real-world data sources and enterprise systems. - **Security awareness:** Understanding of tenant isolation, least-privilege access, and data handling. - **Builder’s curiosity:** Excited to learn a new domain (private markets/finance) and a modern AI application stack in a 0→1 environment where you own outcomes.
