F2 is core infrastructure embedded directly into underwriting, credit, and portfolio workflows, with meaningful, proven revenue and real product-market fit. --- ## The Role We’re seeking a **hands-on Staff Software Engineer** who thrives in **building from 0–1** and driving execution. You’ll contribute production-level systems across the stack while shaping the core product foundation. You’ll collaborate with the founding team to architect, build, and ship features and services powering F2’s AI-driven enterprise analytics platform—from user-facing interfaces to backend systems and AI workflows. --- ## What You’ll Do - **Hands-on product building:** Design and implement features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and AI layers. Write production code and ship real systems. - **Own the technical architecture:** Define and execute the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for the application platform (Next.js/React frontend, containerized Python and Node services), scaling reliably with enterprise demand. - **Build AI-heavy product experiences:** Operate systems behind document processing, chat, and analytics, including workflow orchestration (Temporal), streaming pipelines, vector search, and LLM inference—balancing latency, quality, and cost. - **Build for security and compliance:** Ship features meeting SOC 2 requirements from day one, including multi-tenant isolation, least-privilege access, audit logging, and encrypted data flows across storage, databases, and AI providers. - **Establish engineering excellence:** Set standards for code quality, testing, deployment pipelines, observability, and incident response; mentor engineers to build a culture of reliable, maintainable, high-velocity development. - **Cross-functional collaboration:** Partner with product, design, and enterprise customers to translate requirements into pragmatic solutions that ship quickly and hold up under real usage. --- ## What You Bring - **Hands-on technical leadership:** 7+ years building and scaling mission-critical software; experience architecting products and systems from the ground up. - **Full-stack fluency:** Production experience with modern web frontends (React/Next.js or equivalent) and backend services (Python and/or Node.js), including API design, data modeling, and performance/reliability. - **Systems and data expertise:** Comfort operating Postgres at scale (RDS, Supabase, or self-managed), Redis, and workflow/message systems (Temporal, SQS, Kafka); ideally vector databases or LLM serving infrastructure. - **Product and AI sensibility:** Familiarity building AI-powered features (LLM integration, retrieval, agents, streaming interfaces) with a focus on real user value. - **Security-first mindset:** (SOC 2-aligned thinking and secure-by-design execution.)
