## Overview Zoox is building the future of transportation. We’re looking for an experienced **Software Engineer** to join our **Vehicle Experience** team. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and optimize the software that powers a unique, premium vehicle experience—delighting riders through seamless ride state management and coordinated rider interactions. ## What You’ll Do - Build and improve the on-vehicle software that orchestrates the rider experience, including: - **Audio** - **Lighting** - **Vehicle controls** - **Infotainment tablets** - Work on end-to-end features, including **backend cloud services** - Contribute to impactful projects such as: - Improving **vehicle mission handling** as new autonomous capabilities are added - **Personalizing** the vehicle experience based on rider preferences - Providing **situational awareness** so riders feel safe and informed - Help raise the bar for **performance, reliability, and quality** ## Tech & Environment - On-vehicle software is authored in **C++** - Runs directly on the vehicle under **resource constraints** - Sits at the nexus of systems riders see and interact with ## Team Mission The **Vehicle Experience** team delivers highly visible, rider-facing features by managing ride state and orchestrating the overall in-vehicle experience.
