## Developer Success Engineer — Inngest ### About the role Inngest is building novel infrastructure for AI-first companies. As a **Developer Success Engineer**, you’ll be the bridge between our product and the developers who use it—helping them plan architecture, solve problems, debug issues, and get the most out of Inngest. This is an engineering role at its core, but much of your day will involve **support, troubleshooting, and developer guidance**. You’ll also feed learnings back into the product to refine docs, shape features, and eliminate friction. --- ### What you’ll do - Deliver expert-level support to developers—from implementation troubleshooting to in-depth architectural guidance. - Be an active presence for enterprise users. - Represent users in internal product planning discussions. - Track down and document bugs, working closely with engineers on solutions. - Identify and document feature requests; proactively uncover opportunities for product improvements and help prioritize them. - Contribute to internal and public-facing documentation, use cases, and examples. - Support sales-led POCs. - Develop and improve internal tools and integrations to optimize support workflows and enhance the developer experience. --- ### Ideal candidate - Expertise in **TypeScript** development; openness to new languages (e.g., **Python**, **Go**). - Knowledge and experience with **queueing systems**. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to quickly understand and debug complex technical issues. - A track record of helping other developers succeed. - Deep empathy for developers and strong commitment to excellent developer experience. --- ### Bonus points - Experience working with **Inngest** - Experience measuring **customer success** - Experience with **infrastructure** --- ### First 90 days - **First week:** Learn how the team works and our approach to support and sales. Dogfood the product, understand its architecture, and shadow the support rotation. - **By day 30:** Join daily support efforts and the support inbox. Attend sales calls to learn solutions engineering and supporting POCs. - **By day 90:** Iterate on the support workflow and build or suggest tools to improve it.
