Anthropic is building the connected enterprise across: - **Zero-touch activation** - A **connector ecosystem** - An **enterprise control plane** for confident adoption You’ll own activation end-to-end—from when someone discovers a connector to their first successful use—and help shape the foundations and governance that make the ecosystem safe at enterprise scale. **What you’ll do** - Own **connector activation end to end**: measure the funnel from discovery → first use → habit, identify drop-offs, and improve them - Build and run **experiments** on default connectors, in-product suggestions, connector requests, and onboarding flows - Make setup **close to zero-touch**, leveraging standards like **Cross App Access (XAA)** and the **MCP authorization spec** so one approval can enable a connector for everyone - Improve high-usage connectors (e.g., **Microsoft 365** and **Google Workspace**) so the first experience works and keeps working - Lay **platform foundations** for the connector ecosystem with reusable building blocks to simplify launching, discovering, and activating new connectors - Build out the **enterprise control plane**: admin controls and governance (domain restrictions, labels, permissions) to help security teams approve faster - Partner with **product, design, data science, and sales** to turn usage data and customer feedback into priorities - Set technical direction and standards, **mentor engineers**, and lead with influence **Minimum Qualifications** - Shipped **growth/activation work** (onboarding flows, funnels, experimentation, measuring what drives usage) - Comfortable with **authorization and identity** (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO) to simplify setup without cutting corners - Built on **large platform APIs** (Microsoft Graph, Google Workspace, or similar) and can debug issues across boundaries - Built **platform/ecosystem surfaces** others rely on; care about durable, well-designed APIs - Understand what **enterprise admins and security teams** need for policy, permissions, and governance at scale - Use **data and user research** to decide what to build and explain tradeoffs to product/design - Drive cross-team alignment to ship with influence **Preferred Qualifications** - **8+ years** software engineering experience; ideally **2+ years** at Staff (or equivalent) leadership level - Contributed to emerging auth standards (e.g., IETF OAuth drafts, MCP authorization) - Experience with **data governance / information protection** (sensitivity labels, DLP) - Built admin consoles or policy engines for **multi-tenant SaaS** - Run growth experiments on activation funnels - Built AI products or agent tool integrations (MCP) - Helped grow a **developer/partner ecosystem** around a platform **Compensation** - **Annual Salary:** **$405,000 — $485,000 USD** **Logistics** - **Minimum education:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience - **Required field of study:** Relevant to the role (via coursework, training, or professional experience) - **Minimum years of experience:** Correlates with internal job level - **Location-based hybrid policy:** Expected to be in one of Anthropic’s offices at least **25%** of the time (some roles may requi
