It extends existing software with AI-native apps and agents that work alongside teams and customers—updating workflows, coordinating across teams, and eliminating repetitive work. **About the team** The Applied AI Engineering team ensures customers get the optimal experience from DevRev. As customers progress through their DevRev journey, they may need integrations with enterprise systems, workflow/process automation, or customization of the DevRev platform to meet business objectives. The team works with customers to understand requirements and design, develop, and implement solutions. **About the role (Forward Deployed Architect)** As a Forward Deployed Architect, you’ll be a hands-on senior technical architect on the Applied AI Engineering team—owning end-to-end design and delivery of AI-driven business transformation projects. You’ll partner with pre-sales to scope technical integration and implementation strategies, then (post-sales) own detailed technical designs and drive execution—building proofs-of-concept, custom integrations, and solution prototypes to validate feasibility. You’ll also act as a technical owner for the customer relationship, partnering cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and serving as the connective tissue between pre-sales, customer success, engineering, and product. --- ## What you’ll do - **Customer-Facing:** 30–50% working directly with customers - **Coding & Integration:** 30–50%+ hands-on technical implementation - **Lead Execution:** Define project plans, align internal teams, and ensure timely delivery of deployments ### AI-Driven Solution Architecture - Design detailed AI-driven business transformation and applied AI requirements - Architect reusable solutions (AI Agents, Skills, workflows, etc.) aligned with best practices - Create and maintain applied AI proposals, estimates, solution designs, detailed requirements, and KPI/measurement frameworks ### Design & Deployment - Design and deploy AI Agents using snap-ins, connectors (e.g., AirSync), workflows, and AI agents on the DevRev platform - Integrate agents with external systems (e.g., CRMs, APIs, databases) for workflow automation - Optimize performance by tuning prompts, logic, and agent configurations for accuracy, reliability, and scalability ### Customer & Cross-Functional - Own requirements: translate customer needs into technical agent specifications - Prototype & iterate: lead live demos, build rapid proof-of-concepts, refine through customer feedback - Advise customers on AI agent architecture, performance, and long-term scalability - **Travel Ready:** willing to travel up to 50% for on-site discovery, deployment, and customer engagement --- ## What you bring - **Experience:** 5+ years in software development, AI/ML engineering, or technical consulting with customer-facing experience - **Customer empathy:** bias for action and relentless focus on solving customer problems - **Coding skills:** strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python; data structures and algorithms - **Communication:** strong written and verbal skills for both engineers and business stakeholders - **Applied AI knowledge:** LLMs, prompt e
