Pinterest also uses AI as a powerful partner in how teams build and collaborate, including in the recruiting process. --- ## What you’ll do - Contribute to the strategic technical direction for design system cross-platform libraries - Design solutions that address problems at both current and future scale - Collaborate with designers, product managers, management, internal business partners, and subject matter experts - Maintain design/UX visions through code to ensure a seamless connection between design and engineering (technical architecture + data) - Work within the design system and help evolve it—improving design standards, guidelines, and reusable components - Mentor team members and participate in design/code reviews, team processes, and decision-making - Use AI to create, develop, and distribute high-fidelity prototypes for product alignment and user testing - Build tooling that helps designers and engineers leverage AI capabilities in daily workflows --- ## What we’re looking for - Minimum **5 years** of experience as a design technologist, engineer, or UX engineer - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience - Proven track record delivering highly reliable technical solutions that scale - Deep experience in **mobile native UI development** (Android SDK, Kotlin, UIKit, Swift) - Experience developing or leading design system initiatives - Ability to break down big challenges into smaller decisions framed as trade-offs (e.g., time vs. scope) - Track record delivering large, cross-functional projects across multiple organizations; champion for developer experience, performance, and quality - Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams - Basic awareness of accessibility principles and commitment to further learning - Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day workflow - Strong human-in-the-loop practices: critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work (testing, source-checking, data validation, peer review) --- ## Relocation & In-Office Requirements - **Relocation assistance:** Not eligible - **In-office:** 1–2 times/year for in-person collaboration; role can be situated anywhere in the country --- ## Pay Transparency (US based applicants only) - **Base salary range:** **$155,584 — $320,320 USD** - Equity eligibility also applies --- ## Inclusion Commitment Pinterest is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions based on merit.
