**Senior Bioinformatics & Genomics Data System Engineer** As a Senior Bioinformatics & Genomics Data System Engineer in the Data Science Production Engineering (DSPE) department, you’ll be a key member of the DSPE DevOps team—designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and updating DSPE software tools, data platforms, cloud platforms, automation systems, and analytics systems. **Primary Responsibilities** **Technical** - Ensure timely and efficient delivery of software tools and systems with correct and robust functionality. - Contribute to design, development, testing, deployment, validation, maintenance, and updates for DSPE software tools and data/cloud/automation systems. - Work with DSPE leadership to create system architecture and infrastructure design documents that are implementable and maintainable. - Maintain and optimize software/system performance by monitoring and evaluating impacts on key system metrics (e.g., network I/O, disk I/O, RAM, CPU, disk space). **Quality, Compliance, and Documentation** - Contribute to creation, maintenance, and updates of technical documentation for DSPE Software Engineering & DevOps-owned tools and systems. - Create training materials and support training activities for DSPE Software Engineering & DevOps-owned tools and systems. **Cross-Functional** - Train and coach DSPE team members on new technologies, procedures, and guidelines/best practices. - Represent the DSPE Software Engineering & DevOps team in stakeholder meetings. **Qualifications** - (Additional qualification details were not fully included in the provided description.)
