## Senior iOS Engineer (Remote - US) ### About Oura Oura’s mission is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain deeper knowledge of readiness, activity, and sleep quality through the Oura Ring and its connected app. ### Team & Role Overview You’ll join one of Oura’s app development teams as a **Senior iOS Engineer (5+ years experience)**. Engineering is organized into cross-functional feature squads with significant autonomy—owning features from concept and design through implementation, release, maintenance, and bug fixes. **Remote US position** with a preference for candidates in the **US-Pacific timezone**. Hybrid/office options are available in **San Francisco** and **San Diego**. ### What you will do - Design, build, and maintain high-quality code for projects on the team’s roadmap - Push projects forward by aligning closely with **PMs** and **Designers** - Collaborate with teams such as **backend, firmware, data science, research, science, and QA** to deliver complex mobile features - Work with iOS colleagues across the US and EU to improve the iOS codebase - Contribute to technical discussions, **code reviews**, and platform-level improvements ### Requirements - **5+ years** of professional experience shipping iOS apps - Proficiency in **Swift**, **UIKit**, and modern iOS architectures (e.g., **MVVM, MVC, TCA, VIPER**) - Experience with common third-party libraries/frameworks - Strong collaboration skills on complex shared codebases using **git**, branching, and standard code review workflows - Quality focus through **unit tests** and manual testing - Strong computer science fundamentals and design patterns - Ability to own projects, design technical solutions, drive implementation, and deliver results with limited guidance - Ability to mentor engineers and improve developer productivity across teams - Experience with **Agile/Scrum** ### Nice to have - **7+ years** shipping consumer iOS apps, enterprise apps, or SDKs - Prior tech lead/team lead experience - Experience with: Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, SwiftUI, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, PyTorch, TypeScript, Kotlin Multiplatform, BLE, or SDK development - Functional programming experience - Systems architecture and performance optimization - Experience working asynchronously across countries/time zones - Experience collaborating with firmware teams on hardware-related projects - App release management and **CI/CD** experience - Experience in health/wellness/fitness/women’s health/wearables - Bonus: ML algorithms, encryption, data privacy, or familiarity with C++ ### Benefits - Competitive salary and equity packages - Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources - **Oura Ring** + employee discounts - **20 days PTO** + **13 paid holidays** + **8 days flexible wellness time off** - Paid sick leave and parental leave - Collaborative, passionate culture ### Compensation (US) Oura uses market-based pay with US tiers: - **Region 1:** $162,000–$203,000 - **Region 2:** $150,000–$187,000 - **Region 3:** $139,000–$174,000 *Note: A recruiter determines your tier based on location.
