## Senior Fullstack Engineer, Commerce Mission (USA) ### Mission Oura empowers people to own their inner potential through award-winning products and insights into readiness, activity, and sleep quality. ### What you’ll do - Own end-to-end features in **Cart & Checkout**, partnering with Product, Design, Data, and partner engineering teams to define scope, architecture, and rollout plans. - Design and implement full-stack solutions using **TypeScript, React/Next.js, Tailwind, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, Redis**, and modern **CI/CD** workflows. - Lead technical design for high-impact initiatives, including: - **Global checkout flows** (multi-currency, taxation, shipping, localized UX) - **Fraud and risk controls** that protect customers and the business - Enabling buying pathways across **expanding sales channels** - Champion quality and operational excellence: - Write **well-tested, well-documented** code - Instrument **monitoring, logging, and alerting** - Plan safe rollouts with **feature flags, A/B tests, and rollback strategies** - Shepherd work from idea to stable production: - Drive technical discovery and spike work when requirements are ambiguous - Collaborate with **QA and SRE** for readiness during peak events (launches, BFCM, campaigns) - Support **on-call** by debugging, fixing, and preventing incidents in critical revenue paths - Raise the bar for the team: - Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and thoughtful code review - Help standardize patterns, documentation, and best practices as the team scales ### What we’re looking for - **7+ years** of software development experience - Strong **TypeScript** skills - Solid knowledge of **API best practices** and experience with **serverless patterns (AWS Lambdas)** and **service-oriented architectures** - Experience designing, building, and deploying **scalable, performant web services on AWS** - DevOps experience including **CI/CD**, **monitoring/observability**, and crafting quality alerts - Pragmatic, entrepreneurial, delivery-focused mindset (manage tradeoffs between short-term goals and long-term tech debt) - Deep expertise in at least one: - **Frontend:** React/Next.js, TypeScript, modern CSS (e.g., Tailwind), web performance, accessibility, frontend testing (Jest, Playwright) - **Backend:** cloud web services (preferably AWS), API design, data modeling, and observability ### Nice to have (at least one) - Online payments, PSPs, digital wallets, 3DS, or fraud/risk systems - Global commerce experience (multi-currency, localization, tax/shipping rules, regional content) - Experience with design systems, shared component libraries, and/or experimentation frameworks (feature flags, A/B tests) - Prior work on event-driven or serverless architectures at scale ### Benefits - Competitive salary and equity - Health, dental, vision, and mental health resources - Oura Ring for you + employee discounts - **20 days PTO** + **13 paid holidays** + **8 flexible wellness days** - Paid sick leave and parental leave ### Pay range (US) - **Region 1:** $172,550–203,000 - **Region 2:** $158,950–187,000 - **Region 3:** $147,900–174,000 ### Location notes Not considering candidates residing in: **AK, DE, IA, MS, MO, NE, RI, SD, VT, WV, WI**. ### Equal opportunity Oura is an equal opportunity workplace and committed to an inclusive environment. ### Safety / scam warning Beware of fake job offers.
