## Senior iOS Engineer, Connectivity — Oura ### About the team Join Oura’s **Connectivity** team to help architect, design, and build lower-level functionality for the **Oura iOS app**. You’ll work closely with **Firmware** and **App Feature** teams—building the essential interface between **hardware and software**. ### What you’ll do - Architect, design, and build new features in the Connectivity team - Collaborate closely with Firmware and Platform teams - Help ensure consistency across our apps - Stay ahead of iOS development trends by prototyping and experimenting with new frameworks and workflows - Develop scalable systems for **performance**, **maintainability**, and an improved **developer experience** - Maintain and upgrade the codebase by reducing legacy implementations ### Responsibilities (Connectivity focus) - Develop the **Bluetooth layer** for efficient and secure communication between the **Oura ring** and the **Oura app** - Implement support for **next-generation products** - Maintain reliable app–ring connectivity across **millions of devices** in the field ### What we’re looking for - **5+ years** shipping iOS apps - Strong experience with **Swift** and **UIKit**, modern iOS architectures, and common third-party libraries/frameworks - Experience with **iOS CoreBluetooth** and **Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)** - Experience collaborating on complex shared codebases - Proficiency with **Git**, branching, and standard code review workflows - Quality mindset: **unit tests** and **manual testing** - Ability to turn ambiguous problems into shippable solutions under technical leadership ### Nice to have - Experience with: **Swift structured concurrency**, **Combine**, **SQLite/GRDB**, **CoreAnimation**, **CoreGraphics**, **PyTorch** - Experience working asynchronously across countries/time zones - Experience with **health, wellness, or fitness** products - Strong systems architecture and performance optimization - Deep computer science fundamentals and design patterns knowledge - Contributions to open-source or an impressive personal portfolio ### Benefits - Competitive salary and equity packages - Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources - An **Oura Ring** + employee discounts for friends & family - **20 days** paid time off + **13 paid holidays** + **8 days** flexible wellness time off - Paid sick leave and parental leave ### Compensation (US) Market-based pay varies by location.
