## Senior Software Architect, Security Platform **Keeper Security is hiring a Senior Software Architect, Security Platforms** to define and drive architecture across Keeper’s product portfolio—including **Privileged Access Management (PAM)**, **Browser Extension**, and other core security platforms. ### Location / Work Model - **100% remote** - Opportunity for a **hybrid schedule** for candidates based in the **El Dorado Hills, CA** or **Chicago, IL metro** areas ### About Keeper Keeper is a fast-growing cybersecurity company protecting millions of people and thousands of organizations worldwide. Keeper is known for **zero-knowledge** and **zero-trust** security, with a cloud-native platform (KeeperPAM®) that secures users, devices, infrastructure secrets, remote connections, and endpoints using role-based enforcement, least privilege, and just-in-time access. --- ## About the Job You’ll provide **architectural leadership across multiple engineering teams and product areas**. You’ll work across **frontend, backend, client, browser, and security platforms** to establish scalable technical patterns, resolve complex cross-product challenges, and guide teams through major design decisions. This is **not purely advisory**—you’ll stay hands-on with **architecture, prototyping, code reviews, and technical problem solving**, partnering with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to keep systems **secure, performant, and maintainable** as the platform grows. --- ## Responsibilities - Define and drive architecture across multiple Keeper product areas (including **PAM**, **Browser Extension**, and other security platforms) - Establish scalable architectural patterns and technical standards across **frontend, backend, client, and distributed systems** - Lead architecture reviews and major technical design decisions for complex cross-product initiatives - Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical designs with Engineering and Product teams - Evaluate trade-offs across centralized vs. distributed architectures, monoliths vs. microservices, synchronous vs. asynchronous systems, and cloud-native deployment models - Design systems with strong consideration for **security, reliability, performance, extensibility, and maintainability** - Guide architecture for **APIs, services, authentication, authorization, data flows, and integration patterns** - Provide technical leadership for **high-scale SaaS** systems and security-sensitive workflows - Support architecture across **browser-based, desktop, endpoint, and platform components** (as applicable) - Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and scalability constraints; drive pragmatic remediation - Build prototypes/reference implementations to validate approaches and de-risk initiatives - Review critical code/design changes and provide guidance to senior/staff engineers - Partner with Security teams on secure architecture, threat modeling, and protection of sensitive data/credentials - Establish standards for **observability, reliability, testing, and operational readiness** - Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across multiple teams - Evaluate new technologies/frameworks/approaches to improve platform capabilities and developer productivity - Use **AI-assisted development tools** (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate research, prototyping, coding, debugging, and documentation --- ## Requirements - **10+ years** professiona
