About this role

## About Crusoe Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company, we own and operate each layer of the stack—from electrons to tokens—to power the world’s most ambitious AI workloads. ## Role: Staff Technical Program Manager, Cloud Availability Crusoe is looking for a **Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager** to own program execution for **cloud availability**—including **maintenance windows, host patching, network switch upgrades, and incident management** that keeps our GPU infrastructure running reliably for customers. This is a **hands-on, individual-contributor** role. You’ll be personally in the room for incident calls and switch upgrade planning (not managing from a dashboard). The engineering team managing system uptime and infrastructure SLAs has not historically worked with a TPM function, so success will come from **technical depth and execution rigor**. --- ## What You’ll Be Working On - **Maintenance Window Planning & Execution:** Plan and execute maintenance windows/production changes for high-availability cloud infrastructure, balancing minimal customer disruption with host patching and hardware updates. - **Incident Management:** Coordinate cross-functional response during major incidents/unplanned outages; drive communications, lead post-incident reviews (PIRs), and track remediation items to closure while protecting SLA commitments. - **Network Switch Upgrades:** Support planning for major network switch upgrades/migrations; identify the hardest dependencies and flag likely failure points early. - **Technical Risk Identification:** Identify technical risks in cloud availability programs before they surface from engineering; determine when to solve directly vs. escalate. - **Vendor & Partner Coordination:** Work directly with hardware/network vendors and Customer Success on high-stakes infrastructure upgrades; keep customer-facing teams informed. - **Program Frameworks:** Build lightweight, fit-for-purpose execution frameworks for well-scoped availability/reliability initiatives (e.g., firmware update campaigns) where none exist today. - **AI-Driven Program Execution:** Use AI tools to improve risk identification, dependency tracking, and status communication. - **Engineering Credibility:** Earn trust through technical fluency in maintenance workflows and incident processes. --- ## What You’ll Bring to the Team - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS or related field, **or equivalent practical experience**. - **2–5+ years** as a Technical Program Manager with direct exposure to cloud infrastructure, availability, or operations. - Experience with **maintenance window planning, host patching, and hardware/firmware update cycles** for high-availability systems. - Incident management experience: cross-functional coordination, PIRs, and remediation tracking against SLA commitments. - Familiarity with **network switch upgrade/migration planning** and critical dependency tracking. - Ability to build **lightweight program processes** for well-defined initiatives and know when to escalate. - Active use of **AI tools** in program management (risk detection, status reporting, dependency mapping) with concrete examples. - Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and customer-facing stakeholders. ### Bonus Points - Direct experience in **GPU or accelerated-computing** cloud infrastructure. - Experience partnering with **Cu
