## Envoy — Member of Technical Staff, Admin Experiences (L3) ### About the role Fullstack engineering at Envoy sits at the intersection of product, systems, and real-world experience. You’ll own meaningful product areas end-to-end—partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate complex problems into simple, high-quality solutions. This role requires **equal depth across frontend and backend**. You’ll build and evolve both **administrator experiences** and the **backend systems** that power them. **Location:** On-site, **4 days/week (Mon–Thu)** in **San Francisco HQ**. ### You will - Build and ship **high-quality, scalable** features across the full stack (UI, backend services, APIs) - Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver user-centered solutions - Design and evolve backend systems: **APIs, data models, and services** for web and mobile clients - Build performant, accessible, maintainable frontend experiences using **React** and modern web technologies - Contribute to architecture decisions, shared components, and engineering standards across the stack - Design/optimize relational data models (**Postgres**) and improve performance and observability - Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering quality - Own features end-to-end (discovery → design → launch → iteration) - Build intuitive admin experiences for **users, access, permissions, identity, and authentication** across complex organizations ### You have - **BS or MS** in Computer Science or related technical field - **7+ years** building production software with meaningful fullstack/cross-stack contributions - Strong frontend fundamentals: **React**, **JavaScript/TypeScript**, solid **HTML/CSS** - Backend experience building/consuming APIs (**REST and/or GraphQL**), with production exposure to **TypeScript**, **Java/Kotlin**, and/or **Ruby on Rails** - Experience with identity/authentication systems: **SCIM, SSO, OAuth, SAML** - Experience designing relational schemas and working with **Postgres** - Familiarity with **Git/GitHub** and **CI/CD** workflows - A **product mindset** (usability, performance, measurable impact) - Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product and Design - Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and driving outcomes ### Values - Product-minded and user-focused, with strong full-stack craftsmanship - Ownership for outcomes (follow through on impact) - High bar for quality (looks, performance, scalability) - Clear communication and collaborative, constructive feedback - Balance technical excellence with delivery as priorities evolve - Curious, motivated to continuously learn and improve ### You’ll get - Work across the full stack on meaningful product areas (customer surfaces, platform systems, internal tools) - Collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong Product/Design partnership - Ownership and autonomy over impactful work spanning frontend and backend - Thoughtful team-matching process - Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities ### Apply By applying, you acknowledge you’ve read and understood the job requirements and received the Envoy Privacy Notice: https://envoy.com/privacypolicy/
