## Associate Logistics Systems Optimization Technical Specialist Valero is seeking an **Associate Logistics Systems Optimization Technical Specialist** to support, administer, and optimize enterprise business systems that enable Logistics operations. ### What you’ll do - Serve as a **technical subject matter expert** and administrator for assigned Logistics Systems Optimization applications. - **Configure, maintain, and optimize** system functionality, workflows, business rules, and application settings. - Analyze system performance, **troubleshoot complex issues**, and implement sustainable solutions to improve reliability and efficiency. - Build and maintain **reports, dashboards, data extracts, and analytical tools** to support business decision-making. - Support **integrations and data exchanges** between enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. - Translate business requirements into **technical specifications** and develop system enhancements. - Plan and execute **testing activities** (integration, regression, and deployment validation). - Maintain **technical documentation**, system configurations, and support procedures. - Collaborate with **Information Services, vendors, and business stakeholders** on upgrades, enhancements, and strategic initiatives. - Identify opportunities for **automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement**. ### Minimum requirements - Ability and willingness to **work on-site and in-person** (required) - **Bachelor’s degree or higher** in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) ### Preferred requirements - Logistics Systems **project management** experience ### Additional notes - This is a **salaried exempt** position (not eligible for overtime pay). - Position level and salary will be **commensurate with qualifications and experience**. - Valero is an **EEO Employer**. - Pre-employment process includes a **background check** and **hair-analysis drug screen**. ### Benefits highlights - Competitive pay and annual bonus program - **401(k) match**: 100% up to 7% (immediate vesting) - Company-sponsored pension plan - Comprehensive healthcare and wellness program *Benefits described are highlights only and subject to eligibility and work location.*
