About this role

## About Sierra Sierra is the leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, working with major brands including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank to transform how they serve customers and grow their businesses. Sierra is primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. Our values—**Trust**, **Customer Obsession**, **Craftsmanship**, **Intensity**, and **Family**—guide how we work and the culture we build. ## What you’ll do (Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure) As Sierra’s **founding Infrastructure Technical Program Manager**, you’ll help define how we bring our AI platform into the cloud environments of some of the world’s largest and most regulated enterprises. You’ll work alongside **Agent Engineers**, **Deployed Infrastructure Engineers**, and **Agent Strategists** to own programs and strategy from deployment planning through agents live in production—and then through ongoing upgrades and expansion. ### Key responsibilities - **Own end-to-end program plans** for a customer’s **in-VPC (BYOC / Bring Your Own Cloud)** deployment, translating requirements into clear workstreams, owners, milestones, and dependencies across Sierra and customer teams. - **Drive execution across many customer teams** (platform engineering, cloud provisioning, security, networking, model access, observability), building alignment, establishing commitments, and resolving blockers to keep deployments moving. - **Act as the translation layer** between Sierra engineers and the customer: define requirements (e.g., **model access**, **observability**, **upgrade cadence**) and turn technical discussions into actionable next steps. - **Run the operating cadence** for deployments (standups, weekly status, escalations) so leadership on both sides always knows what’s blocked, who owns it, and what it means for launch dates. - **Partner with Sierra Platform and Deployed Infrastructure teams** to feed customer learnings back into standard offerings, runbooks, and tooling—making future launches more predictable and repeatable. - **Define the TPM function at Sierra** as we scale: establish playbooks, operating rhythms, and standards for future TPMs and customer teams. ## What you’ll bring - **4+ years** in technical program management (or similar), delivering complex technical projects across multiple teams (infrastructure/platform program management, deployment/solutions engineering, etc.). - Proven ability to bring **structure** to complex technical programs, with strong attention to detail and follow-through. - Strong technical foundation to navigate dependencies (networking, permissions, provisioning) and translate them into clear plans. - **Technical curiosity** and fast learning (“slope”): ask thoughtful questions, build context, and apply what you learn to move programs forward. - Comfort operating in **large, complex enterprise organizations** (change management, security reviews, distributed ownership) with persistence and resourcefulness. - **Clear, structured communication** that makes complex technical topics and program status understandable to both engineers and leaders. - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). ### Even better - Hands-on engineering background (software, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure) and/or experience with **AWS, VPCs, IAM, Kubernetes, Terraform**. - Experience deploying into **customer-owned c
