Its open platform integrates with 650 software, data, and consulting partners to power end-to-end investment operations across firms of all sizes and complexity. **The Role** Addepar is seeking an **AI Engineer** to join the **AI Platform** team. This team enables and builds disruptive, innovative solutions to transform the wealth technology landscape with AI across the product suite. As an AI Engineer, you’ll design, build, and productionize core AI capabilities that power the platform. This is a hands-on role at the frontier of applied AI—working directly with **LLMs** and **agentic frameworks** to translate cutting-edge concepts into robust, scalable products and capabilities. You’ll own the full lifecycle of AI-native products—from prototyping and evaluation to building scalable backend systems delivered to clients. **What You’ll Do** - Design and build end-to-end AI-native products, from prototype to scalable production services. - Develop and productionize core components of the AI platform, including: - LLMs and the surrounding ecosystem (e.g., vector DBs, prompt tuning, etc.) - Agentic frameworks - Core agent capabilities like MCP / cross-platform tool use, web browsing, computer use - Rapidly iterate on AI products using performance metrics and user feedback. - Drive evaluation and adoption of new AI technologies and frameworks to stay on the frontier. - Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate strategic goals into technical realities—abstracting AI complexity so teams can iterate quickly. **Who You Are** - 1–3+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering; strong skills in **Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes**. - Strong systems-level foundation for building and scaling backend services (microservices, APIs, concurrency). - Proven experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products/features, or significant personal projects demonstrating AI passion. - Bias for action: ship quickly and iterate with feedback. - Proactive, high-ownership mindset and desire to learn and build at the frontier of AI. - BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a quantitative field (or equivalent experience). - **Preferred:** Specific experience with LLMs and agentic systems. - **Preferred:** Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM ecosystem tools such as **Databricks, LangChain, or MLflow**. - **Preferred:** Advanced understanding of the probabilistic systems underpinning modern LLMs. - **Preferred:** Experience building AI products in accuracy-sensitive domains such as finance. **Pay Transparency (Base Salary Range)** - **$163,000 — $203,500 USD** - Compensation includes base salary + bonus + equity + benefits (range shown reflects base salary only). **Our Values** - **Act Like an Owner** - **Build Together** - **Champion Our Clients** - **Drive Innovation** - **Embrace Learning** Addepar is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to inclusion and belonging.
