Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. ## What you’ll do ### Responsibilities - Become a domain expert in Connect and Risk and Compliance areas of Connect. - Handle inquiries from internal Stripe teams and external partners’ technical teams with detailed investigation and sometimes code changes. - Organize and direct complex technical changes as part of product releases, merchant onboarding, and migrations. - Identify and automate inefficient or unnecessary manual processes via direct code changes or by coordinating more complex code changes across Stripe. - Design alerting systems using existing tools to respond to incidents quickly—or prevent them altogether. - Conduct data analysis to understand the impact of risk and compliance interventions on users and surface future product opportunities. ## Who you are ### Minimum requirements - Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, plus **2 years** of experience in Technical or technical user-facing roles. - **2 years of experience in each** of the following: - Developer tools including **git** - Scripting and automation skills including **Ruby** and **Python** - Writing tooling and automation, including **testing** and **idempotency** - Observability tooling including **metrics** (Prometheus, Datadog), **logging** (LogScale), and **distributed tracing** (Honeycomb) - Incident response, on-call rotations, runbooks, and postmortem processes - Using **SQL** and relational databases including **PostgreSQL** or **MySQL** for operational tasks ## Compensation & logistics - **Salary:** $137,000.00 - $205,600.00 /yr - **Work schedule:** 40 hrs/week - **Remote:** 100% telecommuting permitted - Multiple positions available - Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k), medical/dental/vision, and wellness stipends *CA75* *#LI-DNI*
