We’re backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake). --- ## About the Role Factory is seeking talented **Platform Engineers** to help strengthen our core platform, with a focus on **platform services** and **enhancing developer experience**. --- ## What You Will Do - Play a leading role in the design, development, and optimization of the Factory platform and its core services and internal systems. - Drive key areas including **search and indexing systems**, **core infrastructure**, **integrations**, **authentication services**, **billing and organization management**, and **internal developer experience**. - Enhance developer experience by creating and refining internal tooling to streamline the engineering experience, with emphasis on **usability**, **efficiency**, and **smooth onboarding**. - Work closely with AI researchers and engineers to ensure seamless integration between AI-driven components and the foundational systems that support them. - Drive adoption of best practices in **code quality**, **security**, and **architecture design**, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovation. --- ## Qualifications - Strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus **3+ years** of experience in full stack engineering roles. - Proven experience as a software engineer building complex, high-performance, reliable systems. Experience building tools for software analysis or in domains like compilers, runtime systems, or similar areas is highly valued. - Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., **Python, Java, C++**) and familiarity with software engineering tools and practices (e.g., **Git**, **CI/CD pipelines**). - Knowledge of systems programming and understanding of working with large codebases and the challenges of manipulating and understanding code at scale. --- ## Location This is an **in-office** position (**5 days/week**) in **San Francisco** (walking distance to Caltrain).
