## Senior Solutions Architect **Employer Notice:** This employer is a contractor for the U.S. Government. **U.S. citizenship is required.** ### Role Description We are seeking a talented and motivated **Solutions Architect** to join our team. You will deliver guidance, support, and enablement for **Unicorn Delivery Service (UDS)** projects and capabilities—working closely with technical groups to drive mission impact. This role is key to ensuring a seamless customer experience during initial engagement and transition to longer-term execution. ### Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customers’ technical needs, challenges, and goals - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers; foster continuous learning and support - Understand and communicate the technical competency and impact of engineers on the team - Understand Defense Unicorns’ products and philosophy - Assist with discovery and framing efforts across the industry - Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness - Support product demonstrations and content creation - Manage “proof of concept” work - Build and maintain continuous delivery (**CI/CD**) pipelines - Build, deploy, test, and troubleshoot **UDS Bundles**, **Zarf packages**, and **UDS packages** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for brainstorming, research, and growth strategies - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities - Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to growth and user acquisition - Experiment with new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve growth outcomes *Note: Responsibilities are not exhaustive and may evolve based on organizational needs.* ### Clearance & Travel - **Citizenship:** U.S. citizenship required - **Travel:** 25% - **Security Clearance:** Secret ### Preferred Experience & Qualifications - Experience in growth engineering, digital marketing, or related roles in a tech startup environment - Strong knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (**Kubernetes**) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (collaboration, persuasion, negotiation) - **7+ years** software engineering experience, including **1+ year** in a manager role - Proven track record leading and developing high-performing engineering teams - Preferred: knowledge of the **CNCF ecosystem** and tooling - Knowledge of system architecture (cloud and on-prem) - Ability to architect solutions based on customer requirements and articulate them clearly - Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret complex data - Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., **Python**, **JavaScript**) and familiarity with web technologies - Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision - Experience training and mentoring - Experience with full-stack development - Understanding of continuous delivery and agile principles - **4+ years** full-stack development team experience - **5+ years** Defense-based customer-facing interactions and engagements - Proven ability to synthesize technical solutions - Experience with **Kubernetes, Helm, and Containers** ### Compensation & Location - **Remote:** USA - **Estimated range:** **$148,750 – $201,250 USD** (based on experience; national benchmarking) ### Who We Are Defense Unicorns delivers mission value by streamlining software delivery so customers can focus on the most important ch
