## Peraton — Spring & Summer 2027 Solution Architect Co-op **Location:** San Diego, CA (Hybrid) **Schedule:** 40 hours/week (Jan 2027 – Aug 2027) ### Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company and a mission capability integrator and enterprise IT provider. This co-op supports the **County of San Diego** contract, working with senior architects to design **cloud and AI solutions** for County services. ### Responsibilities - Collaborate with senior architects to design **cloud and AI solutions** - Create **system diagrams** and **architecture patterns** - Develop **AWS-based designs** under the **AI-DLC framework** - Support planning of enterprise systems **before implementation** - Work on real projects modernizing County services, including emerging work applying AI to software design, build, and delivery ### Qualifications **Required** - **US Citizenship** - **HS Diploma** and some advanced level training - Currently enrolled as an **undergrad or graduate student** in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field** (upper-level undergrad or graduate preferred) - Understanding of **software design** and **cloud computing fundamentals** - Ability to create **technical diagrams** and explain design decisions **Desired** - **AWS Cloud Practitioner** or **Solutions Architect – Associate** certification - Familiarity with architecture patterns (e.g., **microservices, serverless, event-driven**) - Exposure to **AI-DLC**, **infrastructure as code**, or **AWS AI services** - Prior software development internship ### Pay & Benefits - **Target Salary Range:** **$28–$38/hour** (rate depends on factors including experience, education, skills, and location) - **Benefits (eligible employees):** Medical, dental, vision, life, HSA, short/long-term disability, EAP, parental leave, 401(k), PTO, and company-paid holidays ### Application / Interview Notes - Application period estimated at **30 days** from posting date (may vary) - On-camera interview and identity verification may be required - **AI tools during interviews are strictly prohibited** unless the candidate has prior written authorization *EEO: Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.*
