Underneath it all is **Atlas**, our proprietary platform. ### Why now Brain Co. is entering the next phase of **production deployments on a national scale**, with an elite team and a growing footprint across **government, insurance, health, and financial services**. --- ## What you’ll work on You’ll join the team that owns the **Software Factory**: development environments, build systems, CI/CD, and engineering automation that set the ceiling on how fast other engineers can ship high-quality software. This is a **force-multiplier** role—your work compounds as we add teams, services, and customers. ### Key responsibilities - **Own developer environments and build infrastructure** - Local development experience, monorepo, build systems, and shared tooling - Enable fast, reliable setup, development, and testing as the company scales - **Build delivery workflows and engineering automation** - CI/CD, PR workflows, code-review automation, and shared tooling for product quality assurance - Integrate **AI-assisted development/coding agents** where they improve speed and quality (including cloud, regulated, and air-gapped environments) - **Measure and improve developer experience (DX)** - Discover, measure, and remove friction across the development lifecycle - Use instrumentation + feedback to show clear before/after impact - **Drive onboarding, enablement, and adoption** - Documentation, practical support, and guidance through new workflows and migrations - Drive adoption through quality—not mandates - **Operate the developer platform as a product** - Own architecture, implementation, rollout, reliability, and iteration based on internal user feedback - Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security --- ## You might be a great fit if you… ### Developer Platform & Build Systems - Have **3+ years** building developer-facing infrastructure (monorepo platforms, build systems, CI/CD, or internal tooling) - Have hands-on depth with at least one modern monorepo tool: **Nx, Bazel, Pants, Buck, Turborepo** (and willingness to go deeper) - Are fluent with CI/CD at scale (e.g., **GitHub Actions, Buildkite, CircleCI**), including matrix design, caching, secret flow, and parallelism - Are fluent in at least two of: **Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust, Bash** - Have experience building automated testing or code-quality workflows engineers trust ### Platform & Product Mindset - Have shipped developer platforms that real engineers adopted - Have measured developer friction with clear before/after impact - Have strong intuition for DX, paved paths, and long-term maintainability - Can own the full lifecycle: design doc → MVP → hardening → adoption - Can help teams adopt new tools and migrate workflows with clear documentation and practical support ### Production & Reliability - Have owned developer-facing systems with real operational responsibility - Are familiar with observability and incident response - Bring strong fundamentals in retries, idempotency, queueing, and failure modes --- ## Ways you might stand out - Built/integrated coding agents, automated code review,
