We’re an ambitious team of 100+ working at the frontier of AI, backed by $60M in Series C funding. ## Role: Product Engineer (Data as a Service) Encord’s **Data as a Service** team exists to unlock labeled data for the physical world—where there’s no “internet-scale” source to scrape. You’ll work on an ML layer that routes work between models and expert humans, with **quality measured rather than vibes**. You’ll help build the foundation for the next wave of AI—built on robotics, AV, and healthcare data. ### What you’ll do - **Ship the real product:** No ticket queue and no PM between you and the user. Talk to customers, identify what matters, make product calls, ship, and own outcomes. - **Work on genuinely unsolved problems:** Design workflows where human reviewers and AI models hand work back and forth thousands of times per hour—seamlessly for customers. - **Build one platform across domains:** Flex across robotics, AV, and healthcare without turning into three separate products. - **End-to-end ownership:** From product/design/architecture through deployment, monitoring, and measuring impact. - **Autonomy + collaboration:** Take charge of projects in a lean, high-trust team—while staying quick to collaborate on challenging problems. ## About you - **A builder:** You’ve founded something, been engineer #1, or acted as the engineer who quietly routes ambiguity to the right solution. - **Experienced:** You’ve built and maintained systems from scratch and understand trade-offs for shipping reliable, performant software quickly. - **Customer-focused:** You prefer discovery calls, feedback, and iteration firsthand. - **Team player:** You raise the people around you and help others do their best work. ## Why Encord - Base salary, **quarterly commission**, and **equity** - Significant ownership and growth as Encord scales - Direct partnership with senior leaders on critical hiring priorities - **4 days/week** in our San Francisco (FiDi) office - Flexible PTO + **18 paid vacation days** and federal holidays - Annual learning & development budget - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage - U.S. and international travel opportunities - Bi-annual offsites, twice-weekly team lunches, and monthly socials
