About this role
**Dark Wolf** is actively seeking an **experienced Penetration Tester** to join our innovative team. In this role, you’ll assess and enhance the security of a wide range of products—including **hardware, software, and embedded systems**—by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across multiple technologies. This position is supported in a **hybrid work environment** out of the **DC Metro area**. ## Key Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive penetration testing across **hardware, software, and network components** - Perform advanced **vulnerability scanning and assessments** - Evaluate products to identify vulnerabilities impacting **Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA)** - Analyze **software, firmware, hardware, and/or RF components** - Assess exploit impact and effort; provide **high-level remediation strategy** guidance - Develop and execute **exploits** and **proof-of-concept (PoC)** attacks - Reverse engineer **firmware and embedded systems** to uncover security weaknesses - Test **secure boot** processes and **Trusted Execution Environments (TEE)** - Conduct **web application security assessments** (OWASP Top Ten) and **API security testing** - Manually verify vulnerabilities and assess **risk/exploitability** - Perform **wireless/RF security testing** (e.g., **Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee**) - Use **Software Defined Radio (SDR)** for protocol reverse engineering and testing - Report findings with detailed documentation and **actionable remediation recommendations** - Plan and execute cross-domain assessments, including **network penetration testing** and **phishing/social engineering campaigns** *Note: The provided description appears truncated after the responsibilities list.*
