EliseAI recently raised a **$350M** funding round at a **$4B valuation**, led by **Andreessen Horowitz (a16z)** and **Bessemer Venture Partners**. --- ## About the Role (Founding Software Engineer | Healthcare) EliseAI is breaking into a new vertical: **healthcare**. We’re looking for a **Founding Software Engineer** to help build up our new business unit. You’ll work on a **small team** within a startup within a startup—driving transformative change in healthcare. This is not about following a playbook; it’s about **creating it**. You’ll take on significant ownership, lead projects, and see your ideas come to life. --- ## Key Responsibilities - Build systems that enable **autonomous operations** in healthcare, streamlining communication and administrative workflows - Work directly with customers to develop and own new product features **end-to-end** (design → deployment) - Improve the **scalability and reliability** of core infrastructure - Propose and implement meaningful improvements to architecture and design patterns - Collaborate with product and design to turn AI capabilities into **user-facing experiences** - Continuously ship new features and improvements (deploying **100+ times/day**) - Apply best practices in **testing, observability, and CI** - Balance speed and quality while iterating quickly on production systems --- ## Requirements - Startup mindset: strong ownership, urgency, and pragmatism - Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance - Bias for action (move quickly from idea to implementation) - Solid understanding of system design and scalable architecture principles - **1+ years** of experience in **Java, C#, Go, or Python** - Willingness to work **in person** at the office **4–5 days/week** --- ## Nice to Haves - Microservices architecture and event-driven distributed systems - Machine learning and data - AWS experience --- ## Why Join Get in on the ground floor of a funded, fast-scaling startup.
