About this role
## Overview LMI is seeking a **Senior Solution Architect / Senior Solution SME** to lead initiatives within our growing **US Air Force (USAF)** technology portfolio. **Location:** Preferred **Colorado Springs, CO** or **Dayton, OH**. **Remote** candidates who are willing to travel will be considered. In this role, you will lead multiple business initiatives related to **enterprise data solutions** for the USAF, including architecting, developing, deploying, and overseeing solutions that enable **USAF Integrated Sustainment Optimization (ISO)**. **Clearance Requirement:** **Active TS/SCI** required. **US Citizenship required.** --- ## Responsibilities - Lead a team of technologists and business partner SMEs - Develop technical architectures for sustainment optimization - Support Air Force growth through technology innovation and regular customer engagements - Collaborate with engineers and Air Force SMEs to deliver best-in-class features and data management supporting: - Supply chain risk management - Repair network optimization - Asset visibility - Inventory optimization --- ## Qualifications ### Required - **Bachelor’s degree (STEM)** with **15+ years** professional development experience, **or** **Master’s degree (STEM)** with **13+ years** - Strong interpersonal and communications skills - Extensive experience with **data architectures** and **modeling & simulation** for optimization of complex supply chain networks - Proven experience with modern programming languages (e.g., **Python, Java**) in agile development frameworks - Strong proficiency with **AWS and/or Azure**, including: - Cloud deployment - **Infrastructure as Code** (e.g., **Terraform, CloudFormation**) - **Docker / containerization** - Elastic cloud orchestration - Experience with **CI/CD** and **DevSecOps** for secure, scalable deployments - **Active U.S. Government TS/SCI** - **US Citizenship required** ### Desired - Experience in Air Force and/or Space domains; simulation and enterprise systems - Familiarity with large-scale data management in cloud environments - **Java / Python** (10+ years) - Experience with agile frameworks (e.g., **Scrum, Kanban**) --- ## Target Salary Range **$170,000 - $220,000** *Disclaimer:* The salary range shown is typical and not a guarantee.
