## Job Purpose The ICE Internship Program offers a dynamic opportunity to combine hands-on, impactful work on projects that shape our business, alongside practical career and professional development. Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll participate in weekly sessions led by industry leaders, connect with fellow interns, and deepen your understanding of the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries. ## Role: Software Engineering Intern You will support a re-platform initiative for ICE’s leading Home Lending Servicing solution, moving it to a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture. ## Responsibilities - Assist with software development in **Java** and **Python** - Debug applications with assistance from coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) - Develop and enhance **APIs** and **microservices** - Support SDLC practices such as **story refinement** - Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned ## Knowledge & Experience - Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and be at least advancing to your **junior year** - Experience with **Java** (full-stack development experience preferred) - Experience with **microservice architecture** - Experience with **Python** for orchestration ## Internship Program Schedule To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options: - **Option 1:** May 24, 2027 – August 6, 2027 - **Option 2:** June 7, 2027 – August 20, 2027 Candidates will be asked to select their preferred session during the application process. **Important Notes:** - Interns must be available to work **full-time, five days a week** at the **Jacksonville office** for the **entire duration** of one of the designated program schedules. - Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated. --- **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
