As an **Application Security Intern**, you’ll support the **Application Development Security Lifecycle**—from design review through testing and tool management. --- ## Responsibilities - Assist with **web application penetration testing** and **vulnerability triage**, including rescoring and retesting/validation - Support **secure design efforts** by working with development teams to establish security requirements early in the SDLC - Assist with administration of **security tooling** (SAST, DAST, software composition scanners, WAF) within the SDLC and **CI/CD pipelines** - Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned --- ## Knowledge & Experience - Must be currently pursuing a **Bachelor’s degree** in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS, CIS, or a related discipline - Must be at least advancing to their **senior year** of study - Training or hands-on experience with software engineering in **Java, Python, C#, .NET**, or related languages is a plus - Familiarity with **OWASP Top 10**, **Burp Suite** or equivalent testing tools (e.g., **OWASP ZAP**), and security concepts such as **RBAC** - Exposure to a scripting language (**Python preferred**), web/HTTP fundamentals, **SAST/DAST/SCA tooling**, or **CI/CD pipelines** is a plus - Interest in or exposure to **AI/LLMs**, including emerging security risks such as **prompt injection**, is a plus --- ## Internship Program Schedule To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options: - **Option 1:** May 24, 2027 – August 6, 2027 - **Option 2:** June 7, 2027 – August 20, 2027 **Note:** Interns must be available to work **full-time, five days a week**, at the **Jacksonville office** for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules.
