**Prime Healthcare — Lead Systems Engineer (Managed File Transfer / MFT)** **Overview** Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California, operating 54 hospitals and 360+ outpatient locations across 15 states. We’re seeking a **Lead Systems Engineer (MFT)** to help architect, implement, administer, and ensure the reliability of enterprise MFT platforms and secure data exchange services. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide technical leadership for enterprise **MFT** and secure data exchange across clinical, business, vendor, and external integrations - Partner with **Infrastructure, Application, Integration, Security, Network, and Cloud** teams to deliver **secure, reliable, highly available** services - Own architecture, implementation, administration, and ongoing reliability of MFT platforms - Serve as an **MFT subject matter expert**, driving automation, operational excellence, platform modernization, and continuous improvement - Proactively resolve complex technical issues, prioritize competing demands, and deliver critical initiatives with minimal oversight - Provide reliable production support in a highly available enterprise environment **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent education/experience) - **3+ years** in systems/infrastructure/enterprise integration (or related technical discipline), including **3+ years hands-on MFT experience** - Experience with enterprise MFT platforms such as: - IBM Sterling File Gateway / Sterling Secure Proxy - Axway - GoAnywhere - MOVEit (Progress MOVEit) - Globalscape EFT - or similar platforms - Strong experience with MFT platforms and secure transfer protocols including: - **SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2** - encryption, **PGP**, **SSH keys**, digital certificates - Strong knowledge of **Windows/Linux administration**, networking, security, storage, **high availability**, disaster recovery, and enterprise infrastructure - Scripting/automation experience using **PowerShell, Python, Bash, REST APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code**, or similar - Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues, lead technical initiatives, collaborate across teams, and provide production support - Understanding of hospital business operations and integrated delivery system IT requirements - Ability to travel **up to 50%** **Preferred Qualifications** - Healthcare IT experience (EHR, clinical, lab, radiology, financial, or payer integrations) - Knowledge of **HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI**, or other applicable compliance frameworks - Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Linux, cloud, security, networking) **Employment Details** - **Full-Time | Days** **Compensation & Benefits (Pay Transparency)** - Estimated annual compensation range: **$83,220.80 – $135,449.60** (California) - Comprehensive benefits package (PTO, 401K, medical/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, and more) **Equal Employment Opportunity** Prime Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment based on protected characteristics under applicable federal, state, and local laws.
