## Cloud Infrastructure Engineer ### Overview Peraton is seeking a **Cloud Infrastructure Engineer** to support enterprise cloud and infrastructure initiatives within a collaborative, high-performing systems engineering team. ### Responsibilities - Support system lifecycle activities across **development, integration & test, deployment, and operations** - Build and maintain **highly available, high-performance networked systems** - Deploy cloud instances and applications using **automation** to streamline processes - Develop and maintain **Ansible playbooks** for automated deployment and system patching - Create systems engineering documentation (e.g., **CONOPS, requirements, specifications, interface documents**) - Assist with **system planning, scaling, and design** - Support **infrastructure-related trade studies** ### Required Qualifications - Associate’s degree in engineering/Computer Technology (or related) **+ 7+ years** experience; **or** - Bachelor’s degree **+ 5+ years** experience; **or** - Master’s degree **+ 3+ years** experience - Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered - **Security clearance:** Minimum **Top-Secret** with ability to obtain **TS/SCI** and maintain clearance - Proficiency with **Linux and Windows** (build/configure from scratch, troubleshoot, leverage automation) - Experience installing/configuring/deploying services using **security and authentication best practices** - Experience creating/modifying/troubleshooting **Ansible playbooks** - Scripting/automation experience with **Bash, Ansible, and/or Python** - Experience with **Git** (collaboration, configuration management, code review) - Experience creating/updating **process documentation** for deployments and sustainment - Experience integrating hosts/applications with **IDAM** (e.g., **Active Directory, FreeIPA,** or similar) - Experience deploying/troubleshooting **PKI infrastructure** - Experience with **RHEL 8.x** (build, package install, configuration, troubleshooting) - Experience troubleshooting **PKI, networking, firewalls**, or similar infrastructure layers - Experience using automation tools for **security hardening, vulnerability patching, and SELinux** configuration/troubleshooting ### Desired Qualifications - Hands-on **Kubernetes** experience (troubleshooting workloads/nodes; deploying/upgrading via **YAML, Helm, GitOps**) - Red Hat technologies (e.g., **OpenStack, OpenShift, OpenStack Services on OpenShift, Satellite**) - Experience deploying/managing **relational databases** (e.g., **PostgreSQL, MySQL**) - Experience with **MFA** and identity protocols (**SAML, OIDC**) - Monitoring/logging tools (e.g., **Splunk, Elasticsearch, Sensu, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana**) - Infrastructure solutions that maximize uptime and reduce repetitive work/human error - Out-of-band management tools (e.g., **iDRAC, iLO, IPMI**) - Strong written/verbal communication; ability to collaborate cross-functionally - Detail-oriented and able to work independently ### Benefits & Salary - **Target Salary Range:** **$112,000 – $179,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors including experience, education, location, and contract considerations) - Benefits include (as applicable): medical/dental/vision, life, HSA, disability, EAP, parental leave, **401(k)**, **PTO**, and company-paid holidays ### Application Notes - Application period estimated at **30 days** from posting date (may vary) - On-camera interview may be required; id
