## About Us Checkbook enables businesses to access the speed, flexibility, and cost savings of digital payments—with the familiarity and simplicity of paper checks. By providing an on-ramp from paper to digital payments, we can effectively onboard customers at any stage of their digital transformation. ## The Role As a **Senior Full Stack Engineer** at Checkbook, you’ll design, build, and scale our payments platform—from databases and backend services to APIs and user interfaces. You’ll work with **Python, Postgres, and modern frontend frameworks**, owning projects from architecture through launch. ## Responsibilities - Develop and architect exceptional web applications that exceed industry standards and captivate users - Build and ship robust APIs, integrating with internal, partner, and customer systems - Ensure the security and integrity of our applications, safeguarding users’ valuable information - Design and optimize large DB schemas, queries, and objects to meet performance and functionality objectives - Develop and implement automation tools and strategies to ensure quality and stability of web applications - Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies, industry trends, and best practices ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline - **5+ years** of experience working with **Python, Postgres, and frontend frameworks** (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Ember) to build robust web applications - Familiarity with Python web frameworks including **Flask, FastAPI, and Django** - Ability to translate business requirements into effective software solutions - Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and find creative solutions - Fintech experience is a plus, but not required ## Compensation **Variable Base + Bonus + Equity (based on experience)** ## Equal Opportunities Employment Statement It is our policy to provide equal opportunities for all employees in relation to recruitment, training, and promotion.
