About this role
**About the Role** Aura’s Monetization team drives revenue growth by building and optimizing systems that convert, retain, and grow our customer base. You’ll work on enrollment flows, paywalls, subscription management, reactivation experiences, and marketing integrations across web and mobile. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, is comfortable working across the full stack, and enjoys continuously learning new technologies. You’ll build features that impact millions of customers and directly influence Aura’s growth and revenue. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data to run experiments, ship quickly, and iterate based on results—using AI-assisted development tools while applying strong engineering judgment to ensure quality through best practices, robust testing, and appropriate guardrails. **What you bring to the table (required)** - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and maintaining production products - Full-stack experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/TypeScript) and familiarity with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs) - Ability to contribute across the stack (frontend, backend, or mobile as needed) - Experience with modern web tooling (bundlers, CI/CD, testing frameworks) - Experience with analytics and observability tools for instrumentation, debugging, and understanding user behavior (e.g., OpenTelemetry, PostHog, SigNoz, Grafana, Datadog, or similar) - Strong communication skills and experience collaborating in a remote-first environment - Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) and enthusiasm for integrating AI into daily workflows - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent work experience **It would be nice if you had (preferred)** - Experience with React Native or mobile app development - Familiarity with subscription/payment systems or e-commerce flows - Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms - Experience with marketing tech integrations (e.g., Braze) - Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines (Terraform/HCL) **Compensation & Location** - Pay range: **$130,000–$165,000** (may vary by knowledge, skills, experience, and location) - **Remote** role, but candidates must be **US-based** - #LI-Remote **Equal Employment Opportunity** Aura is an equal employment workplace and is committed to an inclusive environment.
