## AI Engineer, Agent — Eloquent AI ### About the role Eloquent AI is building the next generation of **multimodal, autonomous AI Operators** that execute complex workflows across fragmented tools with human-level precision—going beyond chat to **see, read, click, type, and decide** in regulated, high-stakes environments. As an **AI Agent Engineer**, you’ll build, deploy, and optimize **enterprise-grade AI agents** for high-stakes conversations. You’ll partner with customers, engineers, and AI researchers to design agents that understand, take action, and deliver measurable business impact. ### What you’ll do - Build, deploy, and optimize AI agents for enterprise-grade conversations - Work with customers to understand business needs and implement tailored solutions - Train and fine-tune LLMs to improve accuracy and efficiency - Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems via **APIs, databases, and automation tools** - Rapidly experiment to improve interaction quality and automation capabilities - Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, research, and product to shape the roadmap - Monitor and improve agent performance using user simulations and evaluations ### Requirements - **3+ years** of experience in software development, AI engineering, or NLP in production - Strong proficiency in **Python**; experience with **PyTorch** and/or **TensorFlow** - Experience with **LLMs/NLP** including fine-tuning and inference optimization - Familiarity with **APIs**, **cloud infrastructure** (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and enterprise integrations - Ability to prototype, experiment, and iterate quickly - Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused collaboration ### Bonus points (if you have them) - Prompt engineering, **PEFT**, **RAG**, reinforcement learning for LLMs - Frontend/backend experience (React, Node.js, NestJS) - Background in information retrieval, recommender systems, document QA, or agent development - Publications in top AI conferences (NeurIPS, ACL, SIGIR, ICML, ICLR) - Contributions to open-source NLP projects - Experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments *Headquartered in San Francisco with a global footprint.*
