**The Difference You Will Make** Airbnb’s Dev AI team builds world-class developer infrastructure that removes friction and provides tools to unlock engineers’ best work. The team delivers foundational AI tooling and infrastructure across the software development lifecycle, and also enables partner teams to quickly create domain-specific AI tools. You’ll help shape and execute the technical direction of the team’s infrastructure and products—spanning agentic coding tools, asynchronous AI workflow platforms, SDKs for rapid internal AI app development, and AI-assisted code migration. **A Typical Day** - Help shape and drive the team’s AI for Developers strategy, partnering with Staff and Sr. Staff engineers on architecture trade-offs and product direction - Stay current on the evolving AI tooling landscape and balance innovation with incremental, measurable developer impact - Serve as a champion, expert, coach, and consultant to empower teams and leaders to adopt new AI capabilities in day-to-day workflows - Build relationships with partner teams and stakeholders, and craft working agreements - Coach and mentor the team with empathy while growing in your roles & responsibilities - Contribute to the broader organization’s culture and processes with a “first team” mentality **Your Expertise** - 2+ years of experience as a full-time manager - Experience supporting and coaching Staff+ (ideally multiple) and Senior engineers - Experience managing a remote/distributed team - Prior experience building developer infrastructure, tooling, or platforms (ideally at scale) - Experience applying AI technologies to real-world software development challenges - Ability to quickly ramp up in new domains, technologies, or languages; strong continuous learning mindset - Proven success partnering cross-functionally with excellent written and verbal communication **Your Location** US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed with your manager.
