An estimated **$124 trillion** of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades—the largest transfer of wealth in human history. --- ## About the team + role The **Robinhood Advisor Products** team is bringing **Trade PMR** (Robinhood’s newly acquired registered investment advisor platform) into the Robinhood product suite. This multiyear mission connects Robinhood’s retail customers with Trade PMR’s financial advisors, bringing together two sets of technology and user experiences into one coherent product. As a **Staff Web Engineer**, you’ll build and scale full-stack systems spanning backend services and web applications that support **Advisors and Investors**. You’ll own system design, reason through tradeoffs, set technical direction while staying hands-on with code, and coach/review other engineers to raise quality and delivery practices. Your initial focus will be integrating “growing good” retail customers with Trade PMR advisors. **Location:** New York, NY office(s) — **in-person hybrid at least 3 days/week**. --- ## What you’ll do - Design and build **full-stack web systems** (backend services + user-facing web apps) - Create **scalable, reliable** system designs and reason through tradeoffs before committing - Partner with engineering, product, marketing, and finance to turn ambiguous requirements into technical plans - Coach and review engineers to raise the bar on **code quality, design rigor, and delivery practices** - Define mechanisms to ensure **best practices** are applied across the development cycle - Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences (including customers when needed) --- ## What you bring - **10+ years** professional engineering experience, including several years at the **staff level** and prior **Team Lead** experience - Hands-on experience building/scaling web systems with strength in **React, TypeScript, and Node**; proficiency in **Go and Python** - Experience designing scalable, reliable architectures at the **Staff Engineer (IC6)** level (or equivalent) - Strong product judgment and an instinct for user needs - Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders - **Nice to have:** AI-assisted workflows, shipping AI-powered features, and/or iOS/Android experience --- ## What we offer - Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career - Performance-driven compensation (multipliers for outsized impact), bonus programs, equity ownership, and **401(k) matching** - Top-tier benefits (including **100% paid health insurance** for employees) - Access to the **Robinhood Employee Fund** (eligible US employees can invest in a private employee fund with exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds) - Access to leading AI tools and continuous AI skill-building - Lifestyle wallet (flexible benefits spending for wellness, learning, and more) - Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits - Time off to recharge (company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more) - Exceptional office experience (catered meals, events, comfortable workspaces) --- ## Pay transparency (base pay range) In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for **bonus opportunities + equity + benefits**. - **Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC):** **$230,000 — $270,000 USD** - **Zone 2 (
