As a **Consultant**, you’ll architect modern business transformations—owning end-to-end delivery of highly visible, custom software solutions at the intersection of business strategy and technical innovation. --- ### What You’ll Do - **Architect & Implement:** Design, develop, and deploy robust custom automation solutions across the full project lifecycle using Appian’s AI-Powered Process Automation platform. - **Integrate Ecosystems:** Build scalable data connections and APIs integrating external enterprise systems using **REST, SOAP, and JDBC**. - **Engineer Data Models:** Create and optimize relational data models in production using advanced **SQL** (complex queries, joins, views). - **Agile Delivery:** Work in cross-functional teams using Agile practices (sprints, stand-ups, pair programming) to deliver high-value features quickly. - **Empower Clients:** Partner with client technical teams and business stakeholders; drive platform adoption and train users to become self-sufficient. --- ### Required Qualifications - **Degree:** B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field. - **Experience:** **1+ years** hands-on software development or technical implementation consulting. - **Core Engineering:** Strong **OOP**, **database design**, and **SQL** (complex queries, joins, views). - **Requirements Gathering:** Ability to analyze client business processes and translate them into functional and technical requirements. - **Mobility:** Willingness to travel up to **20%**. - **Security Clearance:** **Active Government Clearance (Top Secret or higher, without limitations)** required. Ability and willingness to work within cleared facilities (**SCIF work required**). --- ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience with modern cloud architecture (e.g., **AWS**, **Google Cloud**, **Elastic Containers**). - Exposure to **AI**, **Machine Learning**, **Analytics**, and automated test suites in a continuous integration framework. - **Security Clearance:** Active **TS/SCI** with polygraph. --- ### Pay & Benefits (Summary) - **Base salary range:** **$75,000–$175,000 USD** - Eligible for a **government clearance differential**; discretionary bonus may be awarded. - Benefits may include **401(k) with match**, flexible time off, paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision, life & disability insurance, wellness programs, flexible spending accounts, HSA contributions, referral bonus program, and learning & development resources.
