Do you want to work on a system that processes terabytes of data daily and supports hundreds of millions of active series? Are you excited about using AI to change how engineers build, operate, and debug systems at scale? The Observability team is part of Roku’s Cloud Technology Infrastructure organization. We ensure the services and workloads running on our platform have robust observability. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving international team that takes ownership, communicates clearly, and iterates quickly to deliver impactful engineering solutions. ### What you’ll work on - Advance Roku’s observability platform that ingests terabytes of data daily and manages hundreds of millions of active series - Build a world-class metrics stack using **Go** and **Rust** on top of open-source technologies, tailored to Roku’s scale - Collaborate with the Cloud Platform team on Roku’s shift toward a unified, cloud-agnostic infrastructure - Help build and scale both: - Foundational infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, Envoy, operators) - The observability layer (built on OSS/CNCF-supported observability projects) ### AI in the workflow AI is part of how we work across the engineering lifecycle—designing, writing, reviewing, and testing code; automating operational work; and speeding up troubleshooting and incident response. We also provide AI-assisted capabilities to engineers who rely on our observability stack. ### Culture We’re results-driven, rooted in ownership and accountability, with a fast-iteration mindset.
