**Chicago Trading Company (CTC) — Software Engineering Internship (Summer 2027)** ## About CTC Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is a proprietary trading firm specializing in options market making. We’re a collaborative team focused on quantitative research, systematic trading strategies, and cutting-edge trading technology—providing critical liquidity across derivatives exchanges worldwide. ## The Role As a **Software Engineering (SE) Intern**, you’ll work on one of our technology teams and experience what it’s like to build software that supports trading and risk in real time. You’ll design, solve, and test complex coding problems that deliver solutions to our trading tools and risk applications. Because our release cycles are measured in days, you’ll see your code reach production quickly and impact the desk almost immediately. You may work with languages including **Java, C++, and Python**. Software development cycles are short and releases are frequent. CTC engineers also use **AI coding assistants and agentic tooling** in their daily workflow, and we’re actively building AI into our trading, research, and engineering systems. ## What to Expect The **8-week internship program** includes insight into our culture and business, plus classroom learning and social activities.
