About this role

**Anduril Industries — Full Stack Software Engineer (Core Infrastructure)** ## About Anduril Anduril is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Its AI-powered operating system, **Lattice OS**, turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command-and-control center—helping bring autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking to the military in months, not years. ## About the Team (TRS) The **Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS)** team builds small drone (Group 1–3) products end-to-end—from the drones themselves to the equipment needed for testing, deployment, and operation. TRS delivers systems like **Ghost**, **Anvil**, **Bolt**, and **Altius**, taking them from concept to fully operational capabilities. ## The Role This role sits on the **TRS Core Infrastructure** team. You’ll build the infrastructure that enables TRS product teams (e.g., **Altius, Ghost, Bolt, Anvil**) to deploy autonomy capabilities and tie them into an easy-to-use product. ### What you’ll do - Design, build, test, and release **backend services** used during manufacturing and deployment. - Help define **foundational software architectures**, configuration processes, and **user experience workflows**—working with chief engineers, program managers, flight test engineers, and end-user customers. - Work across technologies including: - Frontend: **TypeScript / React / PySide** - Backend: **Golang / Python / Rust** - Product lifecycle: **NixOS / CircleCI / Docker** - Partner with engineers across the stack—from **Linux drivers** to autonomy and streamlined UIs. - Test and evaluate software using **simulations**, **benchtop hardware**, and **live flight assets**. ### Required qualifications - **3+ years** with multiple programming languages (e.g., **Python, Rust, C++, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript**). - Experience delivering novel software capabilities with **customer collaboration**. - Interest in building tools used by **technicians, engineers, and operators** to prepare systems for real-world missions. - Experience building **UIs** with frameworks like **React** and/or **PySide**. - Strong focus on **user experience** and streamlined product delivery. - Ability to solve complex problems spanning multiple technologies (simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, networking, etc.). - Collaboration mindset for enabling safe, rapid development and deployment of autonomous systems at scale. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active **U.S. Secret security clearance**. ### Preferred qualifications - Built/invented something (app, website, game, startup). - Prior engineering setting experience (startup-like environments, engineering school, etc.). - Software development lifecycle experience (version control, **CI/CD**). - Deep understanding of computers and networks (e.g., **UDP, TCP, gRPC, REST**). - Experience creating infrastructure for **robots** or complex embedded devices. - Experience building scalable backend systems with varied data storage/processing needs. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (**AWS, Azure**), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems). - Ability to quickly navigate complex systems and codebases. - Experience with modern build/deployment tooling (e.g., **CircleCI, Docker, NixOS, Terraform**). - Experience designing complex systems and iterating via technical design reviews. - Familiarity with m
