## Full-Stack Engineer (New York City HQ) — On-site • Full-time • R&D **About Ekho** Ekho helps dealers and manufacturers sell vehicles online by solving the hard parts—**taxes, financing, insurance, titling, and registration**—which vary by state and county. Buyers can click **“Buy Now”**, complete financing and insurance online, and have the vehicle delivered in a few days—while the dealer does minimal work. **Why it’s interesting** - We’ve built a **compliance framework** and **DMV relationships** across the U.S. (including legacy systems). - Now we’re focused on the “fun stuff”: **AI**, expanding into **automotive** (after powersports), and making the experience work both **online and in-store**. --- ## What you’ll be building ### 1) Cars (Automotive growth) We’re onboarding major auto clients and have a **12-month roadmap** that we must execute in **6 months**. Key projects include: - Revamping our **lender architecture** - Expanding **AI-driven titling and registration** protocols - Building a **multi-modal, configurable notification service** - Expanding **trade-in** functionality - Productionizing **lease support** ### 2) AI Sales Agent (Wedge product) An AI-powered widget embedded on dealer/manufacturer sites that can manage sales workflows from: - Inventory discovery - Financing pre-approvals - Service appointment bookings It must: - Seamlessly integrate into third-party/custom sites - Optimize for **high-quality lead capture** - Use evaluation suites to catch **high-stakes discrepancies** between our data and what we share with buyers - Support real vehicle purchasing (not just lead gen) --- ## Who you’ll work with You’ll collaborate with a small, highly technical team (Flatiron office, **4 days/week**). Founders and engineers span product, AI, platform/devops, payments, and design—built around a culture of shipping and solving messy real-world problems. --- ## Who’ll thrive here - Strong across the stack (e.g., **React one day**, backend the next) - Can take a rough problem and ship without waiting for perfect specs - Cares about **how the product feels**, not just passing tests - Already building with **AI** (not starting from scratch) - Enjoys regulated, legacy-heavy constraints rather than being slowed by them --- ## Stack - **React** - **Node.js (serverless)** - **Express.js** - **NoSQL** **Tools** - **GCP**, **Firebase**, **Stripe**, and various SaaS platforms --- ## Compensation & Benefits - **$180K–$230K base** - **Meaningful equity** - Health, dental, & vision - 401(k) - Free lunch & dinners - **$700/year** work setup stipend - Annual team offsite --- ## How we hire 1.
