Principal Security Architect, Identity Resilience
AvePoint · Jersey City, NJ, United States
About this role
**About AvePoint** AvePoint is the global leader in data security, governance, and resilience—helping organizations build a robust data foundation and collaborate with confidence. With 25,000+ customers worldwide, AvePoint’s Confidence Platform helps prepare, secure, and optimize critical data across Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and other collaboration environments. **About the position** The **Principal Architect for Identity Security** will serve as the senior technical authority for the security architecture of AvePoint’s **identity resilience** initiatives. This role focuses on how enterprise identity providers, identity control planes, privileged access systems, application identities, and hybrid identity environments are: - secured - trusted - contained - recovered - validated …before, during, and after a disaster or identity compromise. While **Active Directory** and **Microsoft Entra ID** are key platforms, the scope extends beyond any single provider. **Key distinction (identity vs. backup/recovery)** This role is intentionally separate from a platform-specific backup and recovery architect role. Backup/recovery architects may own core backup/restore/rollback and platform topology/source-of-authority architecture. As the identity security architect, you will own: - the **threat model** - **control-plane security** - the **recovery trust model** - **incident-response integration points** - **secure restore guardrails** - **post-recovery validation requirements** These responsibilities ensure identity resilience platforms can be trusted in **adversarial conditions**.
